1- Who are the Virtual Systems & Multimedia Society
The International Society for Virtual Systems and Multimedia is a unique cross-disciplinary organization for the exchange of cutting edge research in new media and virtual and augmented reality applied to everything from art to architecture, medicine to engineering, and archaeology to cultural heritage. We take pride in bringing academia and industry together with policy makers. We bridge computer scientists and artists, engineers and historians, policy makers and philosophers, archaeologists and architects, doctors and librarians, roboticists and cultural officials, and more.
VSMM was born in Japan in 1995 by Professor Takeo Ojika. It was arguably the first international VR conference and has remained a leading venue for cross-disciplinary scholarly research and exchange in new media and virtual systems.
The VSMM Society has held annual conferences for 21 years now, bringing leading researchers in the application of new media, mobile, and virtual and augmented reality technology together with users. In partnership with the IEEE Society the majority of VSMM Conference proceedings are available on IEEE Xplore.
02- Where will the VSMM 2016 be held and how do I get there?
The 22nd International Conference on Virtual Systems & Multimedia will be held at the Sunway University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.. Details can be found in the Contact page.

03- What is the theme for VSMM 2016?

04- What are the dates for VSMM 2016?
VSMM 2016 will be held from Monday, 17th to Friday, 21st October 2016. You can find all the dates and deadlines for Call for Participiation and Registration here - Important Dates.
05- How much does it cost and where can I register?
The rates for VSMM 2016 and details on how to register can be found in the Registration page. There are rates for both Standard and Students and there is an early bird rate for delegates who register before Monday, 3rd October 2016.
06- Where will my paper appear and will it be indexed?
The abstract will be reviewed to determine the suitability to the conference theme and tracks, technical quality and innovation. If the abstract is deemed suitable and chosen to be presented at VSMM 2016, we request that the full paper be submitted no later than Monday, 24th October 2016 in order to commence the double-peer review process required for publishing in the proceedings.
The publisher of the proceedings as per previous VSMM conferences is IEEE. The papers which are submitted to VSMM 2016 and are accepted by the international academic committee will be double peer-reviewd and published into a proceedings document and available on IEEE Xplore. The papers will be indexed according to their process. Please note, only those papers presented as part of the VSMM 2016 Kuala Lumpur will be published in the conference proceedings.
07- Do I need a Visa to travel to Malaysia for VSMM 2016?
